Week three of summer session! The Class Schedule is up and registration is open. Minneapolis classes will be cancelled when the heat index exceeds 100°. Check the Calendar, or the Jawaahir answering machine, or here for details. No Saturday Technique Intensive class for the next 3 weeks while Cassandra is teaching in Europe. Jawaahir will be teaching young children at Caponi Art Park in Eagan on Tuesday morning.

The Souk has some new items, CDs, St. Paul Compilation 2008, and Teachers' Favorites 2008, as well as a new batch of Jawaahir T-shirts in a range of sizes and colors.

Jawaahir's Southern Theater Show in August is featured in the worldwide Events & Exhibitions section of the current issue of Saudi Aramco World magazine. Published bimonthly, Saudi Aramco World highlights Arab culture and history around the world.

Statement		   Jawaahir Dance Company is dedicated to presenting Middle Eastern dance as a living art form, to bringing the rich folkloric heritage of the Middle East to the theater stage, and to providing education about the dance in its authentic form for dance students and the general public.
