Cassandra's Cabaret Winter Wonderland Saturday, December 8, 2007 Join Cassandra as she transforms JDC Studio Theater into a Cabaret! You will sit at tables, sip champagne, and watch an evening of fabulous dance performances. A glass of champagne and snacks are included in the $25 ticket price. All seating reserved on a first-come basis with a paid reservation. Cassandra's Cabaret usually sells out, but any remaining tickets go on sale evening of show at 7:30 pm. Cabaret seating opens at 7:45 pm. Please arrive promptly as doors will lock at 8:10 pm. Festival Forum Click here for full details. Cassandra’s College is pleased to present our Festival Forum! Join us in our second annual Festival of Oriental Dance. We’ll have classes, discussions, lectures, music, performances, and vendors — all with the express purpose of helping to improve your dance and performance skills. Whatever style you choose to perform, you’ll benefit from these experienced professional teachers. Come be inspired! Our esteemed guest instructors will include Faten Salama, an Egyptian dancer now residing in D.C., and Hadia, a Canadian Oriental and Flamenco dancer of international reputation. Joining this excellent staff will be Nicole LeCorgne, musician and percussionist. She’ll offer classes in music for dancers, as well as drum workshops. for both beginning and experienced players. Cassandra will add her experience in special classes during the week as well. The Festival Forum will offer classes appropriate to students of all levels. The schedule of classes is being organized and will be announced shortly. Performances will include a Wednesday Open Stage night for YOU to perform; Friday and Saturday evening performances featuring Faten Salama and Hadia (respectively) as well as Cassandra, Jawaahir, and many other local and regional artists.
