Review of the Winter 2009 Showings

"The class showing was SPECTACULAR!
Even people who were shy in class were thrilled to be performing and had great energy during the show. Students were excited to show what they knew. There was even one class that had only one student performing, but she went on accompanied by her teacher and did a great job!
The students who watched the upper levels perform were excited and inspired to see what else they could learn. The audience clapped along and supported the performers with great energy, and students were thrilled to see their teachers dance."

International Bellydance Conference of Canada

April 21-25, 2010

The Icelandic volcano causes major disruption to the Minneapolis Belly Dance Community! On Wednesday orginizers of the IBCC (3rd Annual International Bellydance Conference of Canada) that is scheduled to run Thursday through Sunday contacted Cassandra. It seems that several of the instructors from Egypt and Europe had their flights cancelled and could not make it to Canada. The call for substitute teachers went out and Cassandra rearranged her schedule to help them out and flew out Wednesday evening, not even knowing which hotel she would be staying at. The community came together and the show is going on. Good luck to all!
