The Cassandra School Class Locations

Minneapolis Location

All Minneapolis classes are held at the Jawaahir Studios located at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Hennepin Avenue (CR-20) in Minneapolis. The exact address on our door is 1940 South Hennepin Ave, 55403, in the Lowry-Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis. Our studios are located above Burch Pharmacy.

When you arrive press the door buzzer, located high on the left side of the door. Two buzzes is the code for belly dancing. Someone will come down (30 seconds) and buzz you in. If no one hears you, buzz again.

Parking near the Minneapolis studio, while not difficult, is tricky and can be frustrating if you don't know the secrets. So here are words of wisdom from a 20+ year veteran.

Park on south bound Hennepin in front of the building if possible. Pay close attention to the signs as there are parking restrictions. If that fails, turn right (west) on Franklin Ave, then an immediate right (north) onto Colfax Ave. You are now directly behind the building. Most of the time parking can be found on one side of Colfax or the other before you get to the end of the block, Lincoln Ave. It is very rare that I haven't found parking yet, but if I am still looking, from here you can turn right or left on to Lincoln, or continue on Colfax into the next block. Turning right on Lincoln will take you to south bound Hennepin to return to the front of our building. Again, always check the parking signs.

Most of the time the walk is less than one block, and never more than two.

St. Paul - Arthur Murray Dance Center Location

Saint Paul classes are held at the Arthur Murray Dance Center at 534 Selby Ave, St. Paul, 55102, (one block east of Dale Street on Selby Ave). Parking is available on-street and in a lot across the street from the building.

Bloomington Location

Classes are held at The Cassandra School Studio Bloomington. Our Bloomington studio is located 7 blocks east of I-35W at the 90th Street exit. The address is 9050 Lyndale Avenue South, Suite 115, Bloomington, 55420, in the lower level of the Great Bear Shopping Center.

Note: As of 6/20/09 the Great Bear Shopping Center is undergoing a face lift. The photo at left is no longer correct. Look for the door with 9050 on it. We will put up a new photo when renovations are complete.
